Network switch architecture

A network switch directs traffic across a local area network (LAN), only to its intended destination.  Less complex network hardware simply broadcasts data across a whole network, a recipient then just “grabs” the portions it needs.  In an increasingly complex LAN environment, adopted by many businesses today, properly designed network switching dramatically improves network efficiency and performance.

Most businesses will now require a dedicated switching architecture in order to assure quality of service to all users.  Combine this with multiple traffic types (voice as well as data) overlaid on the same physical network, a logical approach on dedicated hardware is essential.

Taurus have been building voice and data networks for over 10 years, using industry leading hardware to implement a vital core for their sites network.
